Resurrecting this thread. Were there any issues drilling through the front bumper cover to install the brackets for the light bar? Are there structural parts behind the bumper cover in that area that I should be concerned about drilling through?
It’s about $550 total for front and rear. The Moog end links are about $35 for the pair.
You’ll need a 15mm deep socket for the frame mounts, and to remove the stock end links you need a 6mm to hold the bolt and a 15mm wrench to remove the nuts. The Moogs need a 15mm socket and 18mm wrench...
It’s super easy. I had some initial concerns before I got under the truck to do it, but it’s just a few bolts that need to be removed. Plenty of us on this forum have done it, so ask questions if you have any.
Installed my JLT catch can today. Super easy mod. I was surprised to learn the engine cover is foam and not plastic (2020 Platinum Max). Is that consistent for all 4th Gens?
I tow a 7500 lb. (actual weight) 35’ travel trailer with my 2020 Platinum Max. I agree with @Waterbeach in that you’ll hit the payload and/or GAWR limit before you hit the trailer limit. Power isn’t a problem at all. The issue I’ve had was with the softness of the rear suspension. After last...
The hood was mostly dry before I opened it. As soon as I opened it I noticed the water already pouring in on the sides, the worst on the driver side, and it didn’t appear that water had been coming in from the gap and leaching to the sides. I’m curious if everyone has the gap in the center of...
I had a suspicion that water was dripping onto my engine cover since there’s dirt on top of the cover from what seems like water dripping onto it and then drying (I noticed this right after buying it new, and I only have about 600 miles now). I popped the hood today after we got a wet snow to...
My situation was a bit different. I had my truck at the dealer for repairs for 8 of the first 21 days I owned it. I finally escalated the issues to the GM and he said had they known about them sooner they would’ve just swapped out my truck. But because the truck had already been titled they...
My first 2020 Platinum Max leaked (3/20 build). I got approval for the Ford buyback. My current Platinum Max (8/20 build) doesn’t have any leaks (so far).
Thanks for getting straight to the point. I’m not looking to spend a ton of money and definitely don’t need to be messing with a complex install for minimal benefits.
I’ll start out by admitting that I’m still new to the EcoBoost world. I’ve been researching catch cans and see passenger side catch cans as the primary option for the 3.5. It seemed odd to me that there’d be a mod for one side of an engine and not the other so I dug a bit deeper and found that...
I have a 2020 Platinum Max and haven’t found an option to change the color of the ambient lighting (admittedly I haven’t done a full scan of the owners manual yet). Are we sure it was retained on this trim level for MY20?
