When I bought the truck a lot of the trim was an unglyyy tealish color. So I had a little paint left over from the door handles and thought I try and cover up one of the door trims and see how they looked. Let me know what y'all think. I need to replace the door panels anyway but maybe I'll redo...

Holy smokes your right I called and they said a complete engine is 680. Do you know of anything I wouldn't need like wiring harness or anything else that would save me a little more?

I bought a expedition the other day. He advertised it as a 98 4.6..... I read the door jam and its a 97... also I looked up the vin and it pulls up as a 5.4... 8th digit is "L"..
Is there a way to look at the motor and tell the diffrence?
I have no idea. I did check the vin and took another look at the motor and its a 5.4... the guy I bought it from said it was a 4.6. But I can't turn the crank maunally and the starter does get it about a .25 inch every time I turn the key...

Today I washed her, pulled The spark plugs(trying to unseize the motor.), removed the dashboard (just where the gauges are.), removed hatch door panels and firgued out what the rear latch wasn't working, pulled...
So it wasn't as big as the pictures made it look but for 1100 i can't complain!!
She needs a GOOD cleaning, a few new panels on the interior that were painted an ugly teal. Also it appears the motor might be ceased. My dad said he's got a few ideas left but I'm pretty sure she's ceased up...

I found a 98 expedition for sale with a huge lift, at least 37" tires.... the problem its a 4.6l and does not run.
What, it any would be a easy motor swap to get some power to those huge tires. In my mind the 4.6 with that size tire would just be over whelmed. Any advice would be helpful. Ill...
I've got a 4.6, is there a noticeable difference in mpg and power?
My dad has a 5.4 and he stomps me in mpg, it takes me $30 to drive to tampa from where I live and only $20 for for his 5.4 to do the same.
I'm not so worried about power but more towards mpg.
