    I think there are many other components that fail besides the engine ( oil change). Cheap OE suspension quality, sensors, electronics, sealants, poor seams on sheet metal. I’ve seen it all on newer Ford’s. Even duct taper to cover holes under rocker panels. Rusting undercarriage / rear diff...

    And this is my quandary. I drove my wife’s 2016 Explorer today. That drives so much better. It’s the NA v6. I cruised at 85mph and on way back 90mph. I was still getting passed. My ole gal would have been lugging along at 80mph max and I don’t like holding that speed for more than 30-40 minute...

    It’s like old age. It’s not that you lived till age 90. It’s your health those last 25 years. Sure, some cars can get you to 200k but at what cost? 300k vehicles like the Toyota Land cruiser, are a dime a dozen. I’m sure 1st gens will be too.

    Those dealer kids aka lube techs are the lower paid youngsters that are in basic training. Reattaching that shield is often neglected cause...well.... millennials.

    Every once on a while, not always, turning the wheel all the way to park or back out of a parking space I hear and I think feel that pop sound. Wonder what that could be?? Also, I check my oil level and color constantly. This week from Tuesday till today I’ve driven over 600 miles all highway...
