    Bunch of LEDs installed

The worst ones are the puddle lights! When I first did mine, nobody offered an assembly to swap in, now they're all over the place. Thankfully I only broke one side, fixed it with some electrical tape and jammed 'er in there. Good enough for the people who ride with me! Looks sharp with the...

    Annual Oil Change

Time for an oil change! I didn't realize how much of an impact this year would have on how far I drive... Just over 5,000 miles in the last year. That's uh... that's not a lot. Makes me glad I run full synthetic for as much as this thing sits. No dunes this year, either. I'm pretty sure I've...

    back up light switch

The GEM is the bit behind the fuse box/the box itself. There could be a bad splice somewhere if it was a cop car. You've pretty much gotta start tracing backwards from the lights to see where power is/isn't getting to. This is an older model, but the basic troubleshooting is the same...

    Turn signal LED replacement brand?

Tungsten emits light around 2500°C, so bulbs tend to get a little warm. That heat is strong enough to damage the phenolic resin used in the housings. A lot of companies offer high temp sockets, but if you put an LED bulb in, you can get more lumens per watt at a far lower temperature, resulting...

    Turn signal LED replacement brand?

I could never figure out why you bitch so much about what other people do to their cars.

    AC Questions.

StopLeak works great in microholes in things like the evaporator and condenser, but sucks on any holes that are actually big enough to see.

    back up light switch

I thought this was all controlled through the GEM with the transmission position sensor.

    Keys missing a chip

On my old Mercury that's exactly what I did, I dropped my column and siliconed one in behind the trim.

Stalls when AC turned on, after loud noise...

I paid a guy I know about $500 and I brought my own parts to do the AC. I'll tackle almost anything myself, but AC is one of the few that I have neither the tools nor the patience to deal with.

    3rd row seat removal

I don't know why it took me so long to see this... I just tucked them up under the trim on the passenger's side with the rear HVAC stuff. Out of sight, I don't mind!

For Eddie Bauer Owners (Two-Tone Seats Leather Source)

Have you installed them? My drivers seat is beat, but it looks like a mess to actually do it. I just haven't wanted to tackle it yet.

Has anyone installed a real oil pressure aftermarket gauge for the 5.4 ?

I mean, the same filter has been on the modular engine since 1991, so it's not like a 22mm thread is common or anything... If they're listing a 20mm thread it's not for the FL820S.

Why don’t all trucks have this?

Eh, I'm pretty sure mine is broken. I discovered I was out when it started wheezing instead of spraying.

    Expy for off-roading?

I take my 2007 to the dunes a couple times a year, all I've done is some Hankook tires and a flag mount, everything else is stock. I use a sprinkler to clean the underside when I get back home. She's been good, no dune buggy, but I have no worries about getting stuck while out there.

Engine runs rough when cold. At dealer here is what they found.......

Well, when I had a shop do mine it was because I couldn't find an engine with under 150,000 miles on it, and they were all around $2200. Yes, I paid about twice that plus labor, but it was done in a week and came with a warranty. I use my truck for search and rescue, I've done a ton of custom...

    Horn problem

I work on industrial stuff, all the sudden these horns go from sounding nice and deep to sounding like somebody's strangling a duck. I probably sell 5-6 a week between the different styles we carry.

    Buying oil.....

I just took a look, we buy oil in bulk for work, we pay $2.21 a quart for Mobile Delvac 10w30, 150 gallons at a time. Hell of a price for the full syn at Costco!

    Buying oil.....

I just got some Kirkland stuff from Costco, full synthetic, for $2.65 a quart. It was on sale, but man, for the price I can't beat it, even in drums! https://www.costco.com/kirkland-signature-0w-20-full-synthetic-motor-oil-5-quart%2c-2-pack.product.100518855.html

    No plowing with a '14?

We only got 78" of snow last season. Not worth getting a plow for! My single stage Toro handles my driveway just fine (unless it's heavy).

Front bumper air deflector on 2010?

It looks like you're missing the fan shroud. There's a little dangly bit that swings right out of the way, it might be worth a junkyard visit.

    Amazon Echo Auto

Yeah, I grew up with the personal computer, born in the same year as the Macintosh. Any illusion of privacy was long gone for me a long time ago. I love being able to say "play kids music" and all the sudden my toddler is dancing and having fun, I can focus on making dinner or doing laundry and...

That's pretty much what I've got, but the radio fuse is hot all the time. The delayed accessory relay is what I need to figure out how to tap into, but without splicing wires. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk

    Amazon Echo Auto

#38 on mine says it's for the Subwoofer, and that's got power all the time. Right now I'm tapped into #37, climate control. It works, but not like I'd like it to. It looks like the delayed accessory relay might need to be tapped into, and it's not something that I'm really willing to break open...

    Amazon Echo Auto

Does anybody know which fuse is hot until the door opens? Or is that controlled by the radio itself and not the GEM? I've got the circuit on an ignition controlled circuit, but it shuts off with the key and not with the radio. Sent from my moto x4 using Tapatalk
