3" turbo back manafolds.
I hit a concrete bolck and it messed up the exhaust. (Down pipe and main muffler) Believe it or not this was less expensive than any of the "factory" options.
I just bought the Jet Performance throttle body. I have read about the Dorman and the stock ones prematurely failing. I don't want to get stranded on the road.
This morning I was coming around a bend to merge on to the highway and the truck just cut power. I was on the throttle and the wrench light came on and I had nothing. I pulled to the side and the car was acting like it had a really bad miss. I quickly shut it off. I looked up the wrench...
I really don't believe its the suspension modifications. Change the rear diff fluid and add the modifier. It should take care of the problem. Its not in the front of the vehicle.
Love the 1987 16v GTI. I miss mine so much! I converted it to the 1992 4 round light grill and had a 50mm intake from Germany. Corrado seats and steering wheel. So many other mods too.... Good memories.
I had my front, center and rear diff fluid changed. The sound still happened. The F-150 forums talk about the sound and most people said the "friction modifier" was the solution.
I'm not going to worry about it because my sound goes away after a few minutes of driving.
It sounds like its your rear end. The limited slip clutch packs are binding a little. Mine does it every morning. When I leave out of my driveway it feels like the rear axle is locked. I have read that you can ad a "friction modifier" to the rear gear lube and it will solve the problem.
Roof rack. Friend had a similar problem in the 16' and I told him to check the roof rack. Silicone around the rack and no problem anymore. He just got a 19 and loves it.
Well I installed the MSD coils and the vehicle does run better. I installed new plugs (with anti seize). It seems to have a little more pull at higher RPM. I'm happy.
