    Where to buy HID headlights

Elvato, thank you for taking the time to explain, that was very nice of you and I appreciated very much. My Expy is an 05, I guess it's a second generation, from your explanation you think it would be okay to stick a HID bulb in there without blinding on coming traffics, is that right? I...

    Electric fan anyone!

Update! Just completed an adventure with the kids and wife, 2K miles later, 5 hotels in seven days five different states and the fan never even ran more than 2 minutes. This is a keeper :favorites13: With all that said, glad to be home..

    Where to buy HID headlights

Thanks folks but here is my problem. All of the items I see so far are just the bulbs and ballasts. What about projectors? Don't you guys feel sorry to blind the approaching traffics? Or they aren't that bad?

    Where to buy HID headlights

Thank you for the quick reply Elvato. I will check out HIDplanet to see what they've got. I'm a very good retrofitting type of guy as long as all the parts are available.

    Where to buy HID headlights

Don't like the headlights that come with the car too weak, can't see too well at night specially when the road is wet. Is there a good reputable company that make HID with projectors for our cars? And sorry but I don't mean them Chinese made knock offs Fleabay. TIA.

    Electric fan anyone!

Thermo, yeah! I maybe worry too much for nothing. Your problem with the key-fob relating to the electric fan is unique. I really haven't a clue. What year is your car?

    Electric fan anyone!

Maybe your radiator is wider, mine wouldn't fit on top of the radiator. Besides, I want to have quick access to change the temp setting and didn't want to have remove the plastic cowl every time. I may have to find a switched power to supply the relay controller, it just doesn't feel right...

    Electric fan anyone!

Be careful where you mount the controllers because going through car wash can get them wet and destroy. I had to move mine already from the windshield washer tank.

    Electric fan anyone!

It's done! Finally got all the parts. I went with dual curved Derale 14" fans and controllers. I also replace all the pulleys and brand new belt tensioner. Total cost is about $250. I'd like to thank you Thermo and this web-site, and all the good folks here. Initial butt-dyno feels great...

Thank you very much for the clear answer.

    Belt drive system replacement.

Yes, indeed the mechanical fan main nut is normal thread, lefty for loosy. I intentionally picked all the rollers and pulley that made by ACdelco in hope that they would made in USA. I looked at the part, the box says made in Canada, but if you examine the pulleys the inner bearings are...

Which one? upper or lower radiator hose.

Can you guys tell me which one is the inlet? I think it is the lower, but very new to Ford so not 100 %. TIA.

    Belt drive system replacement.

Already spent money on the rollers and pulleys, however, a mechanical fan delete will be done at this time too. Quick question for you guys. The big nut that holds the mechanical fan, is it left or right hand thread? I'm assuming it left hand but not so sure. TIA.

    Belt drive system replacement.

I'm about to replace all the pulleys rollers, tensioner ass'y, and belt. What should I look out for and how do you release the tension on the tensioner? Thanks in advance.

    Electric fan anyone!

I bought two of these. I understand they said design for dual or single, but the question is does it do stagger? I doubt it, this is why I bought two.

    Electric fan anyone!

Thermo, Appreciate your input. I guess 200F is reasonable, not nearly close to boil temp. I will set it around 197-198F and see how that go, I can always go back and change it.

    Electric fan anyone!

Thermo, I'm going with stagger controllers 5F apart. Since our engine thermostat opens at 195F. Where would you set the first fan to kick on? I'm thinking around 197F. Your opinion is appreciated.
