I am using the v-LEDs reverse lights for close to a year now with no issues. Wish I would have gone brighter, but appears to be a good product. They are also very helpful on the phone. Hope this helps, Mike.
I would ask on here and see if someone can pull an OASIS report on the VIN. A dealer can do it also. My 06 did not show any problems on the carfax (that I recall) because it was a rental vehicle. The OASIS showed me that it had been wrecked within the first few months. I still bought it because...
Make sure you check the axle tags. Or (correct ke if I'm wrong) if you spin one wheel, the other will spin inn the opposite direction with LSD (under no resistance). The reason I say to make sure and check is because I have an 06 4x4 EB and it does not have LSD, was pretty surprised when I...
This is a long shot, but when I changed my brake pads and rotors, the thickness of the rotor had the anti-vibration clips hitting the inside of the when when it was turning. Those are now sitting the top of the toolbox. If you changed your rims and the backspacing may be a problem. Like i said...
eBay I am pretty sure. Unfortunately I guess you can only look back 60 days so I can't tell you what seller. I just did a search on there though and used kool vue, a lot came up.
I used that brand on my f150 when my wife took out a mailbox. Bought it for about $35 for the entire mirror assembly (after I bought the glass only from the dealership for $50 just to find out it did not have the clips). It arrived broken, but I was able to modify the parts to work with my...
I am running the 265x70x18 m/s2's on my 06 expy. got them in May and have put around 8k on them. they have seen a little bit of sand but I really do not take it off road. I am pretty sure my wheels came off of an F150 though because my OASIS report shows the vehicle shipping with 265x70x17's...
Any updates valley boy. I have an 06 as well and was considering doing a volant (I had one on the f150). But if I can save a few hundred-why not. Thanks, mike
I have the Michelin ltx ms2 on my expy and had them on my f150. I absolutely love the tires (only a few housand on them right now). They areba little noisier than I expected, but great tires. The ones on my f 150 wore somewhat quickly (about 38000) but they prorated and replaced them. I had a...
I replaced my standard 6-cd unit in my 06 with a Kenwood double din and used the pac swi. The wire kit came with sub conversion so I can control the sub separately from the head unit (remember to put resistors on the amp turn on wires to alleviate pop). Not sure if my rear controls do anything...
Brodi-I'm sure you have this done by now. If not here are some notes I got from another forum (I think). I still have not gotten around to doing mine, butbhopefully it helps if you are not done yet. I have a tendency of copyingnstuff I may use and forgetting where I got it - so if this came from...
Probably be worth it for the appt. I got really frustrated doing it and ended up having someone else torque them down. I was able to get an open-ended wrench to sit up in the control arm and keep it from spinning while I backed out on the center stud (8mm I believe). But yea it was a real pain...
I had the same problem. Was suggested on here to push the boot out of the way on the other side and put vise grips on the shaft itself. That worked for me. Putting the new ones in I had a local shop use an impact. Hope this helps, Mike.
Please update with what they say bandit. My 06 does it but not every time. I thought it was only in the six speeds that this fix worked, but if they tell you different-I will get mine done also. Thx, Mike.
assuming you installed an aftermarket head unit - I am using the Pac-swi but would not recommend it. works sporadically and was not intuitive to install or program due to a fatory defect. another user on here suggested axxess aswc. I have not tried it, but will probably be putting one in if i...
I am interested to see it. This may perfect for the wife as her lease is almost up on her cx-7. It sounds like what she is looking for. Car-like but with a lot of space and appears to be economical. Again, I would be interested to see - not sure if it would end up in the driveway. She was taking...
Damn reg442 I have never even heard of that one. The PAC team was great because my swi was defective, but works intermittantly and is not programmed correctly. I may have to check that one out because the stereo is coming out to add a camera. I just have to find out if it work with my kenwood...
Kind of a heads up.the PAC adapter swi-jack just works okay. I don't know if I will use one on my next truck. I am using one with my kenwood and the features do not match and it works intermittently. Thanks, Mike
I believe the el is actually 16 inches longer and will definitely fit a cooler back there with the third row up. Not positive what year the el came out iknow they are available 2007 to current. Thanks, Mike
I tried putting a 12v light on my blue wire tonight while in reverse and got nothing. My expy does not have the factory heavy tow package but was looking for an easy way to get a signal to a rear camera. Can someone confirm this-maybe it is just low voltage or maybe I have to install some relays...
Should be red. Just kidding. The black looks good and you would not have to worry about it showing scratches, but I think I would do the tan. (plus I want to see what it looks like). Looks good though, Mike.
Expedition-did you get yours and I am assuming you went with tan.hoping to see some pix.if it looks a lot better I may get mine repainted (like i said, pretty scratched up). The red has worked for me, but if tan looks better-may do that next.thanks, Mike
Was on there when I got it. I like it. Not sure if I would have bought one, but it looks better than the surface rust in the receiver and I don't leave the hitch because I don't want people to bust there knees on it (done that). Also, even when I shim the hitch it makes noise. Thanks, Mike
