    Misc Dash Trim Needed

    I just bought a 2000 F150 Lariat with tan interior. I need the plastic trim that surrounds the radio heater controls. Also need the ash tray/cup holder and the vent grille on the left side of the driver side of the dash. Mine have been messed up and painted ugly black! Any help would be appreciated.

    My 98 only has the hooks in the rear. If I get the brackets from the salvage yard will they install in the same openings where the hooks are?

    Doc another thing that you can try that might help is to raise the hood and watch the top of the cop's for intermitent sparks with it running. You need to do this while it's dark. Sometime a spark will show up and lead you to a specific cylinder.

    4x4 Shift on the fly???

    You can shift into 4x4 high on the fly (up to 50mph I think). To go into 4x4 low you need to stop, shift into neutral, then engage 4x4 low.

    The controller is a white electronic unit that opens and closes the damper to feed air to the rear. It's located within the console.

    I switched to road force balance several years back on my Expeditions. I'm convinced it's the only way to go on the 4x4 suv's today. Virtually eliminates tire/wheel vibration.

    Momentary Hesitation

    I run into the same thing of and on for the last 6 months. Finally under load it got bad real quick and finally set a code. COP #1. Replaced it and it now runs smooth all the time, even under a hard load.

    I replaced my radiator on my 98 EB this fall and just cut off the end of the old hose and installed a worm clamp and it works great and doesn't leak.

    I don't think I'll worry about it at this time. 4x4 high and low work fine and that takes care of my needs for now.

    On my '98 EB 4x4 when I shift to AWD the dash light blinks but when I'm in 4x4 high or low it's constant. Does this imply the AWD function isn't working?

    mtnman82 glad that fixed your shifter. Regarding the turn signal cancel I would thing that is a switch in the column. Hopefully someone else will chime in on that.

    Sorry I wasn't clear enough, it only happens when I apply the brakes and mostly when I'm backing up. I'm pretty sure it isn't a wheel bearing.

    Try tightening the torx screws on the shifter up under the dash. Hope the attached photo helps. The torx are circled. This is complements of another member that helped me earlier this year.

    Sync Hardware question

    Back in '08 I ordered a Limited EL w/sync and navigation. When the expy came in they (Ford) added the sync. It was a separate module that interfaced with everything. This was in Jan. 09 so you should be able to order the unit from Ford.
