Make sure it's not cracked, I had that problem on mine, drivers side cracked in half.
I drove like that for months, with no issues. Then put on headers Big PIA!!!
Look around to see if it's cracked or if you see black marks( exhaust staining) then you'll know for sure, if that's the...
That's a great looking driveshaft.....
I thought about the dual double Cardan, with 8" suspension lift the angles are not great.
But $$$$ :bawl:
Where did you get that????
Has any converted to a Double Cardan driveshaft??
If so any issues?
I've heard that the weight of the Double Cardan joints on this style of transfer case (slip rear joint) can cause bearing issues????
I know Ford had originally put in this style of driveshaft but had recalled it do to...
Fabtech is the only 6" kit still being made.
Zone BDS and others have stopped making it.
I talked to Fabtech reps a Bloomsburg it also sounded like they may stop as well.
Not enough guys lifting the Expy!
You sure have a lot of attitude, You might think you know everything, and you might even be right, ( I said I need to check!!) but attitude still kinda sucks.
:ban::ban::ban:
This site is all about the LOVE, Expy Love that is! :love62:
:lol: Relax !!!
I get it he forgot the year,
Not sure I think under the front bumper. I'd need to check, but it sounds like it could be something else since the odometer is doing the same
Ford made CV rear Drive Shafts stock in 97 but pulled them due to Vibe problems.
So you would need to have a shop build one or Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts - Tom Woods Custom Drive Shafts Custom Driveshafts Specialist
I can tell you the extra 2" is a PIA mine will have 11" but is a street queen
and 37" and 9" lift is fine.
Drive shaft depends the 6" Fabtech kit says you may get vibration in the rear so you'll need a CV shaft and their rear upper arms, which are longer and rotate the axle for better...
So has anybody made at set of longer lower arms for their lifted Expy's ?
I notice with the big lift the axle no longer is centered wondering about making a custom set to get it back in place.
Any ideas ???? :think::think:
Thanks
You can use a polish to get rid of any that are there now. Then a good wax.
After that quick detailer after it rains each time to keep them from staining
