Weld quality, weld clean up and tubing fit are spot on. Powder coating is perfect. It's like a semi gloss or satin black with a little texture from what looks to be from the bead blasting. Which I hope it is. I would rather have runs and wrinkles in my powder coating over poor prep.
Did you guys check out Redtail Overlands build? It has Raptor lowers with ICON UCA’s. F-150 bumpers fit with some modifications and some require relocation of the CAC. Lots of fender cutting and custom fenders. Pretty awesome build, but a Raptor would still be 10 times better. Set up with a bed...
Keep them at full pressure. Even the paved roads have razor sharp small rocks that will slice a 10 ply tire if hit them right. Also if you have the CCD’s. Try SPORT mode out. I find it wheels the best with the firmer suspension setting. Like mentioned above check your spare and have a way to...
The Torsen is a very unique limited slip. It uses gears instead of pressure plates. I haven’t seen if it’s in the front, rear or both on the new Expy. On the Raptor it’s in the front.
This mount works ok in my 18’ SuperDuty. Once installed you can’t slide the seat forward. No big deal for me. But if my wife needed to drive she would not get the seat where she needs it. I’m 6’2” tall...
Holy ****, the VR is heavier than the hangover 6! What we talking a 100lbs.? My only real complaint about the HO6 is suspension fork only. They redid the straps and added one so it a little more secure. But I love the VR. I have to admit I am kinda interested in the Alta hammock attachment. To...
Using the vehicles 12v outlet is not the not the best setup for a fridge anyway. They are very prone to coming loose and falling out. Plus going dead when the key is off. Leaving you with warm food and beverages. The best way is to run a dedicated plug just for the fridge. A solar generator is...
I would like to see Ford offer a sunroof delete on all trim levels. Be able to order a combination of packages at once. I would like a Platinum, Timberline, sport without the sunroof.
Take a set of jumper cables and put one lead on a good ground location and then back to the negative battery terminal. Test it again and see if it goes to zero. If so the jumper cables are making a good ground connection and the factory cable is not.
Look at the Yakima Front Loader. It doesn’t touch your frame or forks so if you have a carbon bike it’s not getting rubbed through.
Roof racks are a pain if you use them a lot. Maybe ok for a long trip where you go somewhere and stay a few days. Or if you need the hitch for your boat or...
I have the Yakima Hangover 6
Pro’s
Pretty cheap compared to other carriers. I think I paid $700.00 on a deal of the day site.
When empty you can access the rear glass hatch without laying it back. Laid back the hatch will open.
Hitch lock and cable lock can be keyed the same as my roof rack...
Here is an interesting find for you weekend warriors and road trippers.

Well, you know, most guys lie about a few things. How big their man hood is, how many women they have slept with. Their fuel mileage and if their tires rub.

My Expy has been asking me to add the Ford Pass app to the vehicle for 3 days now. App on my phone shows it’s still connected and shows it current mileage and location. Maybe there’s a bug or update.

Keep in mind the 10R80’s normal operating range is 206F-215F. And is cooled with a heat exchanger in the transmission that uses the radiator fluid. The HD Tow gives you a bigger radiator to help with overall cooling. Weather, driving habits, load and speed all effect both the trans and engine...
Dang that sucks. I hope they make it right. We had a similar situation with a Lincoln LS sedan. It kept getting valve train noise and would go into limp mode. They finally tore the heads off as a final “fix” and found more internal damage. Put it back together and it still wouldn’t run right...
