If it's not leaking oil and not smoking, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep checking oil regularly and keep it topped off. My 2004 5.4 2v XLT has never leaked oil but does consume oil like jphill5688's vehicle. Bought it in 2005 with 15,000 miles and it now has over 265,000 miles. It has consumed oil from day one. 2003 transmission drain/fill question
Unless the previous owner installed a drain plug in the transmission pan, you won't be able to do an easy Honda drain and fill. Green fluid right side
I have 2004 Expy and I'm pretty sure the AC oil is not green. I have seen strange coolant leaks appear a fair distance from the actual source. Fuel Milage

Should it stay or should it go?
Still running original water pump and radiator hoses on our 04 XLT 5.4 with 255,000 miles. Ford must make a pretty dependable water pump for these engines. Still pretty cheap if you replace it yourself rather than pay a shop. Really not a difficult job if you are mechanically inclined...- smith627

2004 longevity

In my experience our Expedition rear brakes last twice as long as the front brakes and rotors last a long time too.
