    Rear window air-flow deflector?

powerboatr, could you clarify this statement? What is a wind "burble" area? Is that Texas speak?:burnout:

Middle courtesy lights no longer work. Did I break them?

Andy, it is an easy, inexpensive upgrade that will make a big difference. White bright light instead of dullish yellow of the incandescent OEMs I replaced the gradual on/off interior lights in my wife's '15 Toyota Venza with LEDs. They worked fine with gradual on/off. What I bought for her car...

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

I looked this over with the Expedition and the roof rack runners are too far forward for this to give the down draft necessary to keep dust off the rear window. But an interesting concept!

Middle courtesy lights no longer work. Did I break them?

I replaced all my interior lights with LEDs as well. Glad yours work without blowing fuses. My biggest concern is always breaking the cheapy plastic light covers. But what a difference in the quality of interior light over the OEMs!

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

Not a bad idea, but not the fix I am looking for. I will probably have to have someone fabricate this if I decide to pursue it further. Thanks guys.

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

This seems like an interesting workaround. I will check this out further. I just remember these type of deflectors were very common in days past. Perhaps now, they are not so common because they probably affect wind drag and mpg. Part of our lowest common denominator society...

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

Thanks gixer. That seems pretty pricy and not really functional from what I can see. More cosmetic and stylish at a large price. But thanks.

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

Kind of my thoughts too. I did find some after market deflectors for the '05 Expy. that looked really nice, but nothing more recent. Odd to not have these in more demand, but oh well. I will keep researching.

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

Yeah the RainX does help with the surfactant. Makes the dust blow off more easily. For me, using the washer is not a good option since I travel off road 4X4 often. Even in town, the dust is bad. I live in high desert country where the sun shines 90% of the days and rain is rare in summer months...

    Rear window air-flow deflector?

One problem I never had with my F-150 was the rear window getting dusted up to the point where it is difficult to see out. The Expedition has this inherent problem with the rear window just due to the vacuum-induced slip stream that sucks everything into it while driving any speed. I remember...

Better bulbs for Anzo Projectors - 35w HIDs? Or LED?

Drove into town tonight (40 mile round trip up and over a mountain pass) and I must say... The HID lights make a HUGE difference. I am very happy to have made the conversion choice. They are not offensive to oncoming traffic and light reflective signs up perhaps a thousand feet down the road. My...

Better bulbs for Anzo Projectors - 35w HIDs? Or LED?

Finally got it installed after some frustration. It was not plug and play for me as the connectors are laid out with the clips. I had to reverse polarity from the factory harness to the ballast. I figured it had to be something simple so I did not swear or raise my voice at all. I am good to go...

Better bulbs for Anzo Projectors - 35w HIDs? Or LED?

Thanks man for your help. I think I have it now, or at least I have studied this to death. Who's death we will find out.

Duh, eatin' crow here. I did receive the wire harness, just set them aside. It's tough gettin' old!! Sure beats the alternative though...

Better bulbs for Anzo Projectors - 35w HIDs? Or LED?

Hi Andy, I received my HID kit today. It came without the "Factory wire harness" which is #4 in image below. Do I need this? Your photos indicate you used one. Help! I wanted to do the install tomorrow. I did email xenonHID.com and inform them with the same question. Thanks.

Well I eat crow on this one... These LEDs DO NOT FIT either the base or the lens orifice. Mind you I will only eat crow served Jamaican style with Jerk seasoning! Sorry about that. Back to the drawing board on better back up lighting.

I have done a few road trips (living where I do, I drive to Reno and Salt Lake City from Spring Creek often) and have experimented with both 87 and 91 octane fuels. The 91 give me better mileage from what I can gather at this point. Maybe it is my imagination, but seems to preform better with...

    High idle things to check?

What engine and model year are your referring to? If you have a new Expy, I would take it in under warranty. May be a computer issue?

Thanks Andy. So the injection port above the intake valve in the Triton engine as opposed to the injection directly into the combustion chamber in the TT is what makes a higher quality fuel more effective? Or is it just the fact that the turbos are forcing compressed air into the combustion? No...

07 Expy replacement headlight options (under $500 for both)?

EAndy, did your kit come with a ballast ignitor? Just curious. Some of the upper end ballasts have that installed and are not external. Thanks.

07 Expy replacement headlight options (under $500 for both)?

Thanks for that Andy, My kit is identical to what you installed and should arrive Saturday. I will investigate your decision to just use the taped over cutout instead of going through the boot. Glad you did the guinea pig thing for me!! I appreciate your advice.
