Just curious if anyone has upgraded their rotors and calipers to something a little more powerful with more initial bite?
I’m not used to truck based SUV’s and prefer sports sedans so this has been a big adjustment for me. If I’m going to keep this SUV for 6+ years like I plan then I need a...
We have captains chairs and a 30 lb dog and on road trips we throw his dog bed in between the seats and he stays down there between the two kids without complaining the whole time.
For small to medium dogs in between the captains chairs is a great spot for them.
large dogs, probably wouldn’t...
I have the HD tow and I’ll probably never trailer anything but might use the hitch for a bike rack or something along those lines.
But, If I ever have to I know I’m fully prepared!
100% agree. That’s one reason I went special edition instead of Limited. I wanted the black wheels.
But wouldn’t you pony up even more to have an exclusive wheel?
Go to a BMW’s website and build an X5 and you are presented with up to 7 wheel options all of which are $1000-2000 mark ups for...
Every manufacturer should have multiple options, definitely a miss by Ford.
Porsche for example probably makes a fortune from selling 911 turbo wheels on non-turbo trims.
Every car I’ve leased or bought the wheels make or break the trim I go with of you can’t pick and choose independently...
In response to the original poster. Also keep an eye out for the Special Edition Package 2018, 2019 or 2020. It’s essentially a limited 302a with CCD, tow package and the Stealth Wheels for a small discount.
Easily recognized in pictures on used car websites as you’ll see the 22” black stealth...
This would sell like crazy on Amazon I’m guessing. I believe the last TWO generations F150’s have the same coin slot if no HD tow package? The new 2021 redesign probably has it as well.
You potentially have millions of customers with the F150 alone!
Etsy or Amazon could make you some big...
Intrigued to see what happens! I have a 2019 Limited special edition that I just bought used with nearly the exact same miles. Curious what insurance would give in the event of a total loss...
I did a cheaper ceramic coating from a detailer back in November and find waterless wash is just as nice looking after (no comparison to a really pricey professional ceramic job), beads really well and is super easy to keep clean in the garage so it gets “washed” maybe 2-3x per week. Super slick...
Hey all you 3.4 folks. Can anyone jot down some of the larger benefits of upgrading from 3.0 to 3.4? I started reading through the first 10 pages of the thread and didn’t reall gather many answers.
Can you see carplay directions on the drivers display? Does the speed limit pop up next to the...
I know nothing about changing these fluids but to maintain an extended warranty you're required to change the transmission fluid before the 90k mile mark. If Ford requires this maintenance I’d stick to that myself for sure!
60k - engine air filter, 4x4 transfer case and differential fluid...
Agreed, impressed with the efficiency. 17ish around town and 20-22mpg on highway depending on speeds. 2wd non Max with HD tow. I came from an Acura MDX AWD with a v6 and averaged about 18-19mpg around town so this is really impressive that I can still be close to those numbers. Highway I’m about...
mine is not a Max so yes, perhaps shorter wheelbase or whatnot is detrimental. It doesn’t seem like the bumps feel any different from Fromt to back so probably just me not being too familiar with body on frame ride quality?
I did notice my tires have a little more wear in the middle of the...
I’d say the ride quality in my expedition with CCD is pretty disappointing. I’m running stock 22’s with stock tires inflated to recommended 39 psi and I feel everything, little road imperfections, bumps, rough asphalt, etc. But, I’m coming from smaller luxury crossover and sedans so maybe I’m...
There’s another thread on here that discusses someone who had a TSB fix for the down shift issue. Needed a new Valve control body. I dont think it matters if its 4wd of 2wd for that issue.

Some awesome photos! I assume lots more driving in 2020 & 2021 compared to previous years due to covid! Part of the reason we bought the Expedition actually...
Starting a thread for the Expedition doing cool sh*t, awesome photos, mods, features you used in a fun way, maxing out capabilities, etc.
Really, anything that is a reason you bought it in the first place.
No negativity here, just greatness!
