Fix or replace
My 98 XLT 4x4 has about 147k on it and is still running great and I fully expect it to run great for a nother 50K+ or so. That being said, I want to be prepared with a plan of action should the ening or trans go out on me. Should I replace the eng/trans or look at getting a newer expedition...- Nick of Milton

Replace Engine or get new Expedition
Mine currently has 147k on it. While I fully expect it to last to 200+ there is always the possibility that the eng or trans might go out on me at which point I will have to make the decision to either spend the cash to fix it or just upgrade to a newer expedition (most likely an EL).
