white substance on oil cap?
My 02 made a loud whining sound and it turned out to be a bad PCV valve. Start ye motor and touch it and you will know right away. I your not going to drive the truck or any vehicle for that matter its better to not start it and just let it idle. Start it and drive it like you stole it :-)- Stabber

Starting off fresh with a slightly used 1st Gen Expedition
If you ever hear a ticking sound (exhaust leak) its about to blow a spark plug which is common on the triton motors. I need to flush my rear heater core since the hoses don't get hot. I think you are suppose to run 5w-20 but I switched to 5w-30 about 40k miles ago. It has always consumed a...- Stabber

High Pitched Whine - Help Please
Mine was doing the exact same thing and it was the PCV valve. Its very cheap and easy to change also :happy107:- Stabber
