Being on my second Expy with the power running boards and living in snow/ice country, I have never had an issue with the boards sticking or freezing with ice. I have always used Weathertech mud/splash guards that keeps the boards and quarter panels clean. Very simple fix!
I have the SPP and the piped-in burble sounds great! True, the V6 turbos just don't make the sound of power like the "old days". The days of the cat back exhaust with the new modern performance engines are over.
I purchased my '23 Expy limited SPP with CCD after putting on 150k miles on my '17 limited. I was very impressed with the performance of my '17 which was used both as a geologic field vehicle and as a highway cruiser. The '23 now has 23,000ish miles and is the lap of luxury on the highway. I do...
I bought a new '23 SPP off the lot in early '24 and now with over 23,000 miles, it has been flawless. I love everything about it. Sounds like OP got a lemon and needs to deal with the Lemon Law.
I did the chrome delete on my '23 SPP. I liked the stealth gloss black on Star White paint and the chrome trim
needed to conform. I used the 3M 2" tape and with time and care, completed the delete. While it being a small overall detail, I really like the look of the gloss black trim.
Being...
Only in your opinion. I live in semi-rural America where driving on interstates and highways encounters few vehicles at night. The auto high beams work very well. Ahhh the fresh air...!!
I'm sorry to hear of your plight. I agree it sounds like a saftey/liability issue but ignoring it and thowing it back on your lap is poor service. My stealth was manufactured August '23 and does not have this issue. What is the build date on your vehicle?
I'm no "Princess and the Pea", but I find the front seats of my '23 Limited to be MORE comfortable than what I had in my '17 Limited, and those were very comfortable. IMHO, the cushioning and support is perfect for my back and bottom!
In my vehicle, if you have the heated steering wheel turned on when you shut off the vehicle, it will be on when you start up next cycle. I don't believe it is tied to the "automatic" climate control.
The cruise control is great once one gets used to it. It has three distance settings and depending on the road and speed, I find this feature useful. The bright dimmer is useful too since I live in a relatively unpopulated area with fewer cars than a metro area. By and large, many of the...
For my camping trips I bought a larger plug-in refrigerator. I like to keep my center console for organizing small things. The refrigerator plugs into either USB or 12V and works but definitely need to keep it charged up!
I'm glad a lot of that silliness was disconnected on my '23. All trying to keep up with the neighbors no matter how stupid! The auto start/stop is the next dumbest thing that needs to go. But hey, the heated/cooled seats and steering wheel is tops on my list!! I really do like the auto wipers as...
I ditched the Grabbers for Pirelli Scorpion Weathercraft 15,000 miles ago and could not be happier. They are a great road tire and will go offroad on maintained gravel roads just fine, but not an AT tire. I do enjoy going offroad, but more into road trips with the expy than off roading anymore.
Right on! Ahh the freedom! I just returned on a solo camping trip to the southern Utah canyonlands. I built out the expy for sleeping (very comfortable) and had Sterilite plastic shelving units bungeed to the side. I am 6 even and it was cramped but very doable. Going solo is great and I never...
Old thread but I will add my $.02. I have the SSP with CCD and sport tuned suspension. Road trips are a dream with the rig floating down the road. This is my first Expy with CCD and I will never go back.
