It's funny because those were some of my first thoughts as well. I've tapped around every nook and cranny and can't replicate anything close to it. I tried the same thing as well with a little power brake to generate some load and still nothing. The quest continues... I stumbled across this...- ads245

Brought my Expedition into the second dealer. They indicated something is definitely not right but aren't quite sure yet what the issue is. Captured the sound with my GoPro by putting it in the engine compartment.- ads245

@MyExpedition2016 exactly when mine does it. The fact that yours does what seems to be the same thing with 3.73s nullifies the dealer telling me it’s because I have taller rear end gears. @Trainmaster Fluid level is good. Interesting. I don't have either of those options. If you still have FORScan up, if you can, try enabling Global Open 1. Once you have, hit the unlock button on the key fob once, and then press it again and hold it for 3 seconds. Hopefully, the driver's door window rolls down! -

'08 King Ranch really this slow?
The Expedition with the 3V 5.4L while not the most powerful motor amongst modern SUVs certainly holds its own and should pull away from your Explorer with the 2V 4.6. Does it feel sluggish?- ads245
