Mine was changed out when my transmission went bad (not related I know). After trans replaced it still wasnt running right so they replaced filter. Turns out the pump had failed but hey filters are cheap. One less 07 problem.
I agree with 17s. They are easier to find a good deal on just about any tire you choose and best for the reasons already mentioned. The general rule in tire size is less rubber in it means more expensive. Ask anyone who has had 20s and 17s.
I have a battery tender 10w solar 12v charger and I like it. I use it on my optima yellowtop which is agm and leave it on the hood or bed all day. It has a charge controller built in and 10watts is kind of impossible to charge too fast.
My 07 is the same way. Wont fit my ESS ice without getting stuck. Im thinking of going to junkyard and ripping the whole thing out of another 3rd gen and seeing if I can make the 2 compartments work as 1.
Help! Did anyone measure their winch mount? I have contact ICI, Rough Country and the other guy with the boxed fairlead and none of them have dimensions and cant provide them. I need to know the height difference between the mount legs and the winch plate. In other words the height difference...
I got falken wildpeaks on my GMC truck and they are E rated but its a 6" lifted old beast that rides like a stagecoach anyways so durability was my main concern. That thing hits river washouts like a champ.
I guess I never liked the fact that the less tire you get the more it costs. A 22" wheel costs more for a tire than an 18" wheel. You already pay more for the wheel but at least its REALLY more wheel. Smaller wheels are also protected a little better against damage with more sidewall bulge. But...
Oldpaddy I dont think there is necesarily a link between the two in your case. Lots of factors involved. 17-18" wheels are generally regarded as the best all around size when you consider cost of tires, available options, rolling resistance(aka weight of wheel + tire), ride comfort, effect on...
Based on your situation I think replacing it all is a good idea. You are running "long, hard and wet" as they say on something that wasnt designed to do it 24/7. Also if it is covered under warranty make damn sure they dont use economy replacements or you'll be back soon. Last there is no shame...
What year is yours? My 07 doesnt have a "rear upper control arm" it has like 4 little ones plus the rear lower control arm. Its like a spider holding that shit on.
You could try these: http://www.4x4truckleds.com/30-single-row-light-bar-hidden-grille-mount-for-2009-2014-ford-f-150/
A lot of the f150 frame is shared and I believe someone in here already did this.
Adding a locker is a quick way to snap IFS/IRS shafts. Does the 2014 4wd not have control trac? i thought those worked decent? Anyways I would agree with choosing the right tire. Short of snow chains they are your best bet for traction on-road.
I think I will mock up one with some cardboard to see if it activates the alarm. Im assuming the 07 has different sensor setup than a 17 but who knows.
Yeah I have an 07 and dealer wanted to charge $35 plus $160 for programming for a plain key. His service guy slipped me a card for a guy who does them. He had a programmer, tablet etc and 15 mins I was out for $80 total. I dont mind supporting local business if they do a good job and I tend to...
