Alright I have another update. Dealer went through everything and believe they have found the problem. It was corrosion where the center console radio unit for the backseat was. Wires were corroded and shorting out. So hopefully this will resolve it.
I did and I downloaded it. But the sync screen won't stay on or come on, so three is no way for me to update it. I did look at it on Friday and it was reset back to the original software version. By the time I got home from work, Sync was not working and would not come again with gauges still...
I didn't mention it. I will have to do it. Got the vehicle back today and everything appears to be working correctly. Sync is version 3.0 so it needs updating.
Update. Spoke with Dealer today. They replaced the ACM and the issue persisted. Then they ordered and replaced the APIM this morning. They indicated that everything looks resolved now but will continue to test it throughout the day to see what happens. Should be able to pick it up later if...
I have a 2017 Expedition Limited with Tow Package and it pulls a fully loaded 21' Yamaha with fuel and gear (6000 lbs.) and 8 passengers in suv with ease. It is a joy to tow with it. Even on slick algea covered ramps no issues. It has the Eccoboost.
Update. Got a call from the Dealer, they are having issues now and think it may be something else besides ACM. They said they have two Tech's on it with meters and a lot of stuff pulled apart and they cannot figure out way the problem is happening. They are not sure what to do and not sure...
@Fastcar Great I will do that. Assume I just use one of the USB ports in my center console.
Also, they indicated that it was a failing ACM module (Audio Control Module) which is covered under warranty. Part should be in today and I will take the vehicle in this afternoon and have back...
This morning on the way to the office everything started happening again. Found a Ford Dealer to look at it. Drove it straight over there. They got it right in for and where charging me a $125 diagnosis fee. Unfortunately on the way to the dealer it resolved itself again and everything...
Ok here is the update and where I am at right now.
This morning while it was cooler out I went outside and started the truck. All the gauges came on and the Sync come on. I sat there and waited. Everything kept working. Except for the radio and the navigation which said no GPS.
I shut off...
@Yupster Dog Ok I have watched some video's and understand how to do a drop down test.
When you say the ground is lifting, would you think it is somewhere of the negative terminal where it attached to the fender, frame or other areas? So just do the VD test starting at the negative...
I have never done one. Is there an article or thread that explains how to do a VD test and where I would do this for this specific problem? I have Mulitmeters.
I have thoroughly cleaned all battery cables, both positive and negative to the copper and reinstalled. Same issues are occuring. I also checked the fuses in the passenger dash underneath, they are all good.
I have a 2017 Ford Expedition Limited with 84,000 miles on it. I purchased it used 1 year ago.
It runs good although I had to have transmissions lines replaced a couple of months ago and I just replaced the front rotors and brakes.
This morning I started it up and turned it around in the...
