    Ride is awful

I have a Stealth Limited with the 22" and CCD. I like the "sports car sequence" ride quality except for the sway and bobble. I replaced both the front and rear sway bars with solid end links. The vehicle corners and handles much better. Feels more planted, but if you are looking for a more...

Dial Shifter - Let Me Vent!

I'm a Gen 2 Ford Raptor owner and own a 2019 stealth Expedition. In a sport truck, I like the traditional shifter, but in something that is more ergonomic and functional as a daily, I don't mind the rotary shifter in the expedition. However, the rotary shifter does have a delay of around 1...

Has anyone had a smooth shifting 10 speed? Do they all do the occasional clunk?

I have a 2019 Limited and a 2017 Gen 2 Raptor. Both vehicles have the 10 speed. I've never experienced any clunk, but yeah sometimes I feel a slight shutter in the shifting. I've always thought it to be the torque converter locking or unlocking before or after a shift. Since there are so...

HVAC AC Smell on 4th Gens?

Have you changed out the interior cabin pollen filter? It is located behind the glove box. Motorcraft FP-92 is the part number. There are a few helpful YouTube videos that detail the procedure.

    Dealer says “shifts are normal”

I have a Raptor and Expedition Limited, both with the 10 speed. I suspect we feel certain gear shifts more than others due to the torque convert locking and locking. I suspect the torque converter begins locking at 5th gear, and anytime it upshifts or downshifts you also feel the torque...

    Auto Shut Off

Mt 2019 Limited started doing this as well. I don't drive the vehicle enough. I purchased it brand new and around three years later it only has around 16k miles, which probably decreased the battery life. Still, surprised to see a brand new OEM battery to begin to fail so quickly.

    Caliper Fail

Sorry to hear about your situation. Scary indeed. Hope Ford makes this right. Modern cars have a tandem master cylinder, so if the back system goes out or leaks, the front should work unaffected or vice versa. I think this feature was federally mandated back in 1967.

    Wheel issues

I always thought powder coat was applied to the wheels at factory under a clear coat? Either way, very poor adhesion. Hope they make it right.

    Missing colors in ambient lighting...?

I have a 2019 Stealth with the colored interior LED colors, which I think was the last year. I also have a 2017 F150, which also has the LED colors and was the last year for the mid size trucks.

Retail Cost of Replacement Key Fob?

It's simple to program additional Ford key Fobs. OEM units are available on Ebay for around $80 bucks and there are YouTube videos explaining the procedure by placing the keys in one of the cup holders and going through he push button start and brake pedal procedure to program. The key can by...

    Fuel avg MPG sux

I too have a 19 Limited Stealth HD tow with the 3.73. In Los Angeles, I get 12.5-14 regularly within the city and I baby it. Open highway, 18-20 mpg with maybe gains to 21 mpg in Eco Mode. I imagine people netting better mpg have the non tow package with the taller center section gearing...

    2022 SPP Handling

I swapped both sway bars and end links on my Expedition Stealth and it made a significant difference in handling.

    Dome lights stay on.

I too have a 2019 Expedition and am experiencing the same issue with the lights mounted above the 2nd row doors. I have not been able to figure it out as well. Sometimes they even stay on while driving.

Motorcraft Oil Filter Supply Shortage - "Possible" Recall?

I have a couple of vehicles with the Ecoboost and perform my own oil changes, so I order a couple dozen at a time to have ample stock for this very reason. I can't stand waiting on backordered parts even though its starting to become the norm and fact of life, especially when dealing with...

What’s with the overheating 10 speeds?

I have a 2019 Stealth with Heavy Duty Tow Package. Average transmission temp is 200-210 with mine. Towing around 6k, I'll see a slight increase up to 215, but I've never had any overheating issues. My 2017 F150 Raptor has been about the same.

    Shopping for 4th Gen, which 18, 19 or 2020?

I have a fully loaded 2019 stealth and have been extremely pleased. The only issue that I have had is with the sunroof. It seems like covid build years have taken a hit in quality control and Ford has slowly removed options due to chip shortage.

K&N Cold Air Intake Swap from 18 to the 22

The k & n definitely has an increase in induction noise compared to stock. I love it in my raptor, but not sure if I’d dig it in my expedition.

K&N Cold Air Intake Swap from 18 to the 22

Very Nice. I installed a K & N Cold air intake on my 2017 Raptor. Here in CA, it's one of the few options that are CARB compliant. IU've heard that a custom tune is not required, but necessary if one really wants to take advantage of the improved airflow.

    150 Watt Inverters - Why?

Yeah, I'm disappointed about this as well. I have a 2017 Raptor and a 2019 Limited Expedition. Why the vehicles don't use the same inverter is disappointing. If anything, I wish Ford gave the Expedition the option for a better inverter and perhaps a larger alternator.

    Eco mode

I was able to disable auto/start stop via ForScan software. Not sure about enabling the vehicle to always start in a certain mode, but I wouldn't be surprised if its possible if one digs deep enough into the code.

    Hellwig Front Bushing Replacement

I wouldn't call it mushy cornering, but I definitely noticed a bobble type ride where the car would bounce with a few rebounds if one side of the car went over something like a pot hole. The effect seemed to be amplified at highway speeds. My 2019 4x4 stealth has the 22" rims and low profile...

    Hellwig Front Bushing Replacement

Experienced a similar situation after 6 months of driving my 2019 4x4 Limited Stealth with both the front and rear Hellwig sway bars installed. Replaced the front bushings with Energy Suspension Polyurethane 1-7/16 #9.5175G. Has serviceable grease fittings. No more clunk after first test drive.

What Have You Done to Your 4th Gen This Week?

Expedition towing my 1966 Mustang Convertible. It's a factory GT, Deluxe Interior, 4 speed car. Expedition towed like a champ. Just wish it had a larger capacity fuel tank for those long hauls, but otherwise no complaints.
