    Fluid leak, now no forward.

Sorry for late reply! Phone been out of commission. To respond, not anything extreme, I would say. Some sludge an a few bits, but I have seen worse in other pans with operating transmissions. I'm gonna see about taking a look at the range sensor, but I'm unsure how that would effect pressure.

Thank you Joseph. My next step is I'm gonna drop the pan and take a look for any debris. I've had other vehicles with trannys go out before, but this is the first where there isn't the slightest bit of difference in noise or vibration between Neutral and in-gear.

I also erred on transmission. It is the 4R70W, not the 4R100.

I've got the new sensor in. No corrosion on harness plug. Speedometer DOES move in Reverse, however still no forward. It crawled up about a foot maybe with acceleration near 2k RPM, then nothing.

I plan on doing the sensor on my coming up weekend in 2 days. I'm not sure about the speedometer. Wasn't even aware it moves going in reverse. I'll post an update around New Year. Thank you Joseph! -Jason

I would say color and viscosity looked good. It just smelled bad. FRAM brand. The truck is a 2001 with, I believe, the R100 transmission. Codes I got pulled up are as follows: P0102 P0442 P0401 P0175 P0720-Pending P0722-non MIL C1185 Merry Christmas to you as well, -Jason

    Fluid leak, now no forward.

I hit a deer and aside from bumper damage, the transmission in-line filter (from cooler) cracked and fluid emptied. Lost forward. Did not lose reverse. Ran line without filter. Added 3 quarts of Mercon V. Started driving. Few hours later, checked dipstick and it was dry. Bought 3 more quarts...
