We have no complaints. We use the Expedition as our everyday and for travel. We go to FL from OH several times a year. I have been 90+ mph a couple of times with no vibration and lots of low 80's on I-75. CJ Dave.
Thanks so much mcbobhall. I'll give those a try during the next few days. CJ Dave.
I tried SETTINGS but could not find GENERAL. So I used your second choice and that seems to have worked. Thanks again.
The message appears at every start-up since the last automatic update. Apparently the update was successful yet the message continues to show at start-up. Goes away after a few seconds but shouldn't be there. Any ideas? CJDave.
I don't know that but I had mine done at the dealership yesterday. I was there for about 1 1/2 hrs but they also took care of a update on the module that controls the 3rd row power seat as well and did the ever present multi-point check and topped off fluids. Just a thought. CJDave.
Since my original post I have driven about 1600 miles withoput the issue of the black screens recurring. Thanks to all for the input. Stored for future reference. CJ Dave.
Can the actual gear that the transmission is in (1,2,3,4 etc.) be displayed in the instrument panel? I liked and got used to that feature on my 2017. Thanks. CJ Dave.
I don't think the issue is heat related. In 40 degree weather we drove from home to dinner. About a mile. Ate dinner then drove about 2 miles when the problem occurred. Good thoughts though. Thanks. CJDave.
While driving tonight both screens that display maps went dark. Upper screen said "Map source not supported". I turned off the radio and turned it back on. The volume control knob is not working correctly. No icons or anything on the lower screen. Upper map screen is blank. Cycled the ignition...
I hate to be a fly in the ointment but after 60 years of circular steering wheels I had about 4 minutes of adjustment time. We like it. Even though my Platinum Ultimate has a leather wrapped wheel I covered it in a high quality leather cover. The natural oils of my hands ruined the factory...
I took delivery on my 2025 Platinum Ultimate Max in late May. I guess I am lucky as my 24" wheel/Goodyear tire combo has displayed no vibration. Even at 90 mph, briefly, passing on state routes in rural south central Florida. CJ Dave.
I used a rig from FitDVR to power my dash cam and radar detector. FitDVR calls it a power adapter. It's a small box that has a self-stick pad on the back. The included harness has connectors to plug into the factory 3 wire connector on the passenger side of all of the stuff hidden by the cover...
My 2025 cover has 3 plastic clips that will release by pulling both ends of the cover straight away from the windshield. Mine made a terrible screeching noise but no damage. CJ Dave.
The FITDVR Dash Cam Power Adapter is reportedly able to tap into the harness under that cover. It has a small harness that plugs into the factory harness under the cover. That powers a small box that has a 12v. RJ11 port for radar detectors and a 5v. port for dash cams. It comes with several...
Mine was ordered Feb. 27th, built on the 15 of May, shipped on the 17th, delivered to my dealer on the 17th also. I picked it up today the 22nd. It was randomly selected for an audit which apparently is a 16 mile test drive by the factory. It is beautiful. Lots of changes to the controls versus...
