There are lots of different dash cam models out there. I've installed a few of them in our current vehicles and that experience tells me that it might be hard to find one that has a rear camera with a cord long enough to get the rear camera all the way to the back of an Expedition Max.

Anyone with current cams that you've had no issues installing, I'd love to get your recommendations.

Thanks very much

Vantrue has a 29 foot cable. Just installed it in my 2025 expedition
Thanks very much for this.
I'm looking at the models they currently offer and it seems like most have a 20 foot cable. Is the 29 foot cable something that you purchase separately or available only with a certain model?

I have the Vantrue E2 in my Raptor, Expy, and Excursion. The 20’ cord is plenty long. I had over 3’ of excess when done installing in my short Expy. The Max is only 18” longer than mine

RedTiger F77 had plenty of cable for the rear camera. Without looking at their website I think they offer 2 different lengths for the rear camera. I believe I used the standard 20' one in my MAX. The optional one is 33'. CJ Dave.

Next step in this process. Anyone currently using a Vantrue unit also using the OBD power supply accessory? Curious as to how it working for you. I'm reading mixed reviews.
I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks.
I bit the bullet and ordered the OBD power supply.
I'm 2 days in and so far it's working fine. The inline control in the cable that monitors the batter voltage is working correctly and has shut the camera off each time as it should based on the voltage selected.
