To re-engine, or not to re-engine? That is the question
I've been thinking about this a lot over the last couple years. My Expedition is in really good shape, everything works, it's a stout truck. The transmission was rebuilt a couple years ago and probably has only about 15,000 miles on it. But, it's approaching 252,000 miles on the original engine...- Bilsto

Help!!! 98 Making a horrific noise & keeps dying!
I am a first time Expedition owner! I bought this 1998 Eddie Bauer edition back in September 2020. It has had difficulty shifting into second but ive learned to work around that. 2 days ago it started making a weird knocking noise when I’d let off of the accelerator & now today on my way to work...- EllieMay93

Rpm drops to 0 at low speeds. no lights.
Hi fellas not sure this is the right section but i couldn t find a "mechanic " advices one... so i post here. I own an Expedition with the engine here mentioned in XLT trim (3.7). Engine skips and stumbles at low rpm under a load
2000 5.4, engine sometimes skips while driving, mostly when pulling off from a stop or when under a load like climbing hills. It usually always stop when the rpms get up. No trouble codes for misfires or anything like that- Engine1s26
