‘24 Fluid Leak

Purchased a new ‘24 Expedition Max on the last day of last year and it’s generally been a happy new year with the new ride. HOWEVER, I noticed brown fluid on the ground under the engine on the front, passenger side. We have had some cold weather here in Minnesota, and I’ve remote started the vehicle a few times when it’s been super cold to let it warm up before heading out. I’m guessing the seals aren’t working well in the cold until everything heats up. I plan to take a close look tomorrow to see if I can tell where the leak is originating. In advance of doing so, I would really appreciate it if anyone has seen something similar and can tell me, a) where to look, and b) what to tell the service dept at the dealership so that I’m sure to get this leak fixed.

Its either engine oil, coolant, tranny fluid. transfer case fluid or brake fluid. Or a rat had the runs while under your expy

Mine is parked outside 24/7/365. I do the same thing letting her warm up for 10 mins or so when it is super cold out. There are no leaks anywhere. Brown mud? Check the engine oil? Tranny fluid is red.
Take a picture of the problems and show it to your service department. It’s always nice to have some proof on the phone. Lol

There's not much fluid in there to leave a puddle, but also feel free to check your CV boots. mine were leaking and grease was sprayed around the under carriage. It's possible an oil cooler line is leaking maybe near the turbos?

Figured ‘er out and got’er fixed up. The seal on the front, right axle was not working, allowing gear oil to leak out of the vehicle. Not real happy about that happening on a brand new vehicle, but whatcha gonna do. Also, I learned that gear oil stinks. For a little while there, I thought chipmunks had infested my garage. So on the bright side, they had not.

Try changing the rear end oil then coming in and sitting on the couch. After three months of that stink, the thing was at the curb.
