04 EB expedition noise coming from drivers side rear at low speeds. Not ball joints or cv joints as they’ve been checked. Any help greatly appreciated

Have you checked to see if that brake is dragging or checked the wheel bearing?

How many miles on it ? It can still be the rear lower "ball joint" bushing. They get soft with age and start flexing too much and you'll hear that creaking in low speed turns. If you're not in a turn and you hear that, it sounds like the parking brake dragging on that side. Pull the rear rotor off and inspect the parking brake hardware and shoes.

Sounds a lot like mine did. Even if the ball joint boots look good, they are probably shot. On my 03 I did ball joints all the way around at about 175K miles. The rears “looked” ok and felt ok with everything connected. Once I got everything apart the joints were flopping around.

I did a spacer lift, all new shocks and springs and all ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway bar connectors at 175K. Spent about $800 I think on all the parts and did the labor myself. Rode like new until I sold it at 205K.

Check sway bar drop links also. Easy check is to disconnect them or even totally remove the bar and drive it. When loose they can make a lot of noise.
