--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ok
Well its a 04 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer and for starters the door ajar beeper comes on all the time and all doors are closed and I fixed the rear hatch one so I think it my be the drivers side door latch being sticky... The next issue is it doesn't run right lots of strange noises and occasionally going up hill the torque converter seems "sticky" I guess it needs to be floored to get going again... The noises I believe are just the tranny humming away doing its thing but not too sure... The rig is my friends her parents neglected and I fixed most of it bit just these things are stumping me thanks guys a bunch in advance!

For the door chime I would start with the switches. I've heard some WD-40 can clear it up. What does the tranny fluid look like? Has the tranny filter ever been changed?

Need a better description of "seems sticky". Give it gas and nothing, speeds up but doesn't move much etc

it will lag and the rpm will dip low the truck makes a horrible noise then if you floor it, it spools back up again and keeps going like it never happened

Standard procedure then, check for codes. The description sounds like a failing TPS. I'd check the operation to make sure that it is working without a dead spot.

The noise you mention would be easier to diagnose with posted video and audio.

If it has the 4.0 OHC engine your in for a treat with the cam chains. That is one of my upcoming projects on my sons Explorer. Daddy isn't motivated enough yet since the engine has to be removed to gain access to the rear chain. By the time your done with one of these it is known as the WTF engine.

For the lag, check the vacuum lines off the PCV valve to the intake and around back by the firewall (REAL tight back there). Made a BIG difference by changing the soft rubber "connectors". As far as the door ajar chime, I use ZEP 45, found that WD-40 has an affinity to attract dirt, compounding the problem over time.

I did a full fluid change on the engine used some 10W-30 and then the transmission I used Mercon V and put a new filter in the truck runs way different its amazing! I love Valvoline oils hahah stopped the leaks and then the old oil filter was barley on there it was ridiculous actually.
