I just purchased a used 2005 EB. Yesterday and when we bought it two weeks ago, the steering wheel controls worked. I've used the stereo volume, fan and temperature buttons on the wheel and they worked great.
This morning, I tried to use them and the + volume changes the band, the - volume changes the preset stations, the fan changes the temperature, and the temp does something else.
I spent all day researching this issue on the net looking at expeditions, f150's and explorers. I saw similar issues but never found a solution.
It would seem likely the issue is in the buttons or in the wheel.
Can someone who had this issue or suspects what's wrong, please help steer me in the right path. I am capable of doing the work myself.
