Diagnostic at the stealership told me that I have a bad relay for the wiper motor and that the relay is built into the motor therefore the whole motor must be replaced. I'm on the hunt locally for a repair manual, but can't seem to find one. Is this relay built into the motor thing true? My owner's manual points to a relay in the fuse box that clearly isn't the wiper motor.
Anyone have a part # for this thing? I'm searching rockauto.com and there are several wiper motors listed.
Background: To expy to dealership because wipers kept running after vehicle was turned off and the only way to stop them was to pull the fuse. Eventually they stopped running and I put the fuse back, but if you turn the wipers on again with the stalk there's a good chance of them going rogue again. My band aid solution has been to use the "mist" button as this doesn't seem to trigger the issue.
