07 Liftgate glass prop?

Anyone know of a strut or add on that could hold the liftgate glass half way or three quarters down position? In other words, keeps the glass open and up a few/several inches....thx.

There is probably a few options, but may I ask why you are trying to do this?

We just got a dog and I'd like to be able to provide some better access to fresh air in the rear when transporting.

that makes sense. i cant let my dog in the back anymore. when he was a puppy he chewed on the seat belt. its hanging in there with half the threads on the bottom. haha but there could be something to put in there. maybe like a stopper for a door. i need new shocks for mine though. i have to push it open all the way.

Do you have the rear side winows that pop out?

I do have the pop out side windows. But would prefer to get the rear glass open as well...thx

Here's an idea for you. order that same linear actuator or arm that makes the side windows open and close and do a custom install on the rear glass. U could even wire it to the same circuit as the side windows.

The only problem would be unlocking the rear glass. Unless, of course, he took that completely out, using only the actuators as the locking device.

And years ago we were told not to do this due to exhaust getting in.
