Hi Everyone,

I've got a 2018 Expedition MAX Limited with the 302A option package. The problem is that I cannot charge my computer or my PS4 using the outlet, so it's kind of worthless. Anyone else have this issue? My laptop's charger light doesn't come on when I plug it in, and the PS4 tries to start up but then shuts down. The green light above the outlet is on and the engine is running.

Thanks,
Mike

A quick google search says the ps4 max watt draw is 165 Watts, the outlet in my Navigator is 150 watt max and in pretty sure the expy has the same so it sounds like you are exceeding the capabilities of the outlet.

i bet it could easily be swapped
I would think so as well but my concern is the difference in size. I’d like to see the actual F150 part compared to the Expy/Navi part.

You would need to find the inverter first and see how it sizes up to the 400W inverter. It is total BS that they skimped on that.

Completely agree. Husband purchased an inverter so the kids could play with the PS4 on road trips. It is a pain, but it works. I keep our inverter in the center console and pull it out when the kids want to play with PS4.

I wonder if they will skimp and later year models.

I’m looking on mobile so that may be my problem but I’m trying to find the inverter for either the F150, expy, or Navi on the Parts.Ford.com site and can’t find anything for ‘inverter. This being my first personal use Ford vehicle I’m not savy on where to best get OEM parts. Is this site the place for Ford OEM or is there a better place?
