I've compared my dash to manual calculations and the dash is pretty accurate. Within a tenth or two.

Oh, and I gained a MPG with the CAI. Amazing the difference 1 MPG makes on a 300 mile trip.

My gauge is pretty accurate also. I've checked it a few time manually with around town driving since doing the headers, tires and such to be sure about the gains. On this particular trip I did fill up just before leaving and filled up just before getting to my destination bc I couldn't believe it was doing that well. 215 miles 11.5 gallons (rounded figures to the nearest .5).

left to come back from my trip today. filled up just before getting on the interstate. reset trip and mpg gauge. got on the interstate and set cruise to 75mph. got off the interstate back in my own to own town and went to first gas station and documented everything with pics for proof. attached below. even if you factor that the gas pump is off its still in the 18s

This assumes that your tires are stock size.. Is this the case?

No I have 33in tires as listed on my signature. I have changed the size in the computer with my programmer and have checked my mph against 2 different gps's and its within 1mph. I have checked it at lower speeds and on the interstate.
