Replacing front pads, passenger side first. Old inboard pad had the wear indicator (tab) on top, trailing edge? when moving forward. When I installed the new pads with the same orientation I could not get the caliper into the bracket because the caliper pin boot hit up against the wear tab. I ended up placing the tab on the outboard, bottom and it went together easy. I have read many discussions, different vehicles, but...no consensus. What does the service manual say and/or is there any consensus in the expedition community?
