I just bought a 1998 ford expedition xlt with the 5.4 triton. Went to put it in 4wheel drive and it jerks and clicks but doesnt get power to the wheels. Any ideas of what it could be?

It usually is the shift motor on the transfer case.
If you can see the front driveshaft turning but it's not sending power to the front wheels, it's the center axle disconnect vacuum motor or solonoid.
