1st Gen and 2nd Gen Front Suspension

Can't find this anywhere. Does anyone know if the front suspension between the 1st and 2nd gen are interchangable. I know the 2nd gen had air ride suspension but id be swapping out to solid struts. Wondering if mounting points, A-arms, steering linkage, etc is all the same. Thanks

Anything is possible. My Explorer has the front suspension that looks similar to a Jeep Cherokee front suspension (solid front axle, coil springs, etc).

But as far as direct bolt swap, no. The 1st gens have torsion bar suspensions while the 2nd gens use coil over strut suspension.
