So both front and rear wipers are not working at all, and neither are the sprayers. I've done the following already:

Replaced MFS (3) times
Replaced GEM module
Checked all fuses and relays

After completing all of the above, still nothing.

Can anyone help me?

check or replace WIPER RUN/PARK RELAY
WIPER HIGH/LOW RELAY
located in the BATTERY JUNCTION BOX under the hood
Pull the relays and check the terminals and clean them
then reinstall see if that helps

what I posted was straight from the service manual I have noticed that sometimes the owners manual doesn't list all the fuses some of those fuse may be for the gem etc If you have a meter just check the ones that were listed being that your front and rear wipers don't work and front and rear pumps don't work the most common item would be fuses and since you changed the MFS 3X I would be inclined to think its a fuse You mentioned that you changed the GEM did you have the GEM reprogramed

I didnt know the GEM had to be reprogrammed. I read that if you replace it and drive around for a while it will reprogram itself. I will try to replace the fuses you listed. Thanks for the replies man. I really appreciate the help.

I won't say for certain that isn't the case Its just that I have read that it needs to be reprogramed its worth checking Some of those other fuse are for the GEM #11 is the main fuse 30A check it with a meter not just your eyes as I have many times seen fuses that appear good check out to be bad with a meter

it ended up being the number 8 fuse. Now that the wipers are working, the transmission will not shift out of second gear. Any thoughts on that? I put my old module back in since it was just a fuse. Do I need to reprogram the module? By the way, thank you for the help with the wipers.

sorry to hear about the trans shifting problem I am not experience enough on trans problems I would suggest that you start a new thread concerning that problem in order to get better responses I will however look at the service manual to see what it suggests.

Question was it shifting ok prior to you replacing the fuse and reinstalling the original GEM?

You may want to disconnect the battery for 10-20 minutes to try to reset the PCM
and see if that helps.

Also if your interested you can obtain a complete service manual on DVD from E-Bay
Ford Workshop Manual Service Manual Repair Manual Sellers name is morpheousking
cost about $10.00 just get the one that covers 2000 to 2002

Is it possible that when you were checking fuses for the wiper problem that you may have disturbed a fuse that would affect the trans problem or if you may have removed a fuse to check and it got put back in the wrong space. Just a thought
