Have been running 20", +2 with Michelin LTX tires for many years. Considering 22" and sticking with Michelin LTX. How much ride comfort is sacrificed going from 65 apect ratio to 45?

305/45/22 here. Sticking with a quality tire like Michelin is your safest bet. Ride quality suffers the most with 2nd & 3rd rate brands. Looking at you Nexen, Cooper, Douglas, Fuzion, Federal, Achilles, etc.

You'll see a minor trade off. Ride quality might go down a notch or two, but handling is improved. Improved confidence and feel on highway cloverleafs, turns at any speed, as well as looks (IMO) are worth it. Not racing or driving irresponsibly in a large SUV, just everyday normal driving.

Its no coincidence the Bentley Bentayga, Rolls Royce Cullinan, etc don't come on 17s, 18s, or 20s with huge forgiving sidewalls.

Are you running the 305/45 on a 3rd gen? If so, are you at stock height, and is there any rubbing? I just bought a 2015 with the 22s and want to increase the tire size a little, but don't want any rubbing issues.

Yes, 305/45/22 on my 2008, which came with 275/55/20. Stock height, rear air leveling, and no rubbing whatsover - even at full lock turns. On F150 wheels, so offset is OEM. Speed readings are close enough that its also not an issue.
