So I've replaced the other 3 wheel's shocks with 'minimal' difficulty. However it appears that to remove the top bolt on the driver side rear shock that you need to also remove the bolt holding the gas tank strap so you can move the strap out of the way. Is this the case or am I missing something?

TIA

A easy way to remove the bolt for the shock is to make up a very long extension and approach the bolt from the passenger side, by going across the top of the frame. Look from the passenger side and you should see and understand what I mean. I used about 48 inches of extensions to reach the bolt. You would need a helper to do this as the extensions tend to bow. Or place the extensions inside of a plastic pipe to keep them from bowing.

Ok thanks. I'll try that.
