Lets be honest here, the expys are not the best things off-road or im the mud. What would your recommendation be to make the stock expeditions mud ready? Are the RCD lift kits any good? What tires would i need? Spacers? Ect ect ect.

Expys are grate in the mud if you know how to drive them.
I have a rcx 5inch lift kit on mine and also a 3in body perfect for 37s but I have 35s on it, for now.
But if you go with any lift RCX or RCD tires have to have 4.5 of back spacing I'm still using stock tires because I have 2in wheel spacers and I didn't have to buy rims. Hobe that helps

Expy's actually work pretty good off-road for the size.

Depends what you mean mud ready?? Is it going to be street driven or off-road only?

If you want a full mud expy , put in a blown 5.4, SAS and 46 tires. :flamingdevil:

Other wise you can go cheap and add a set of 33' mud tires.

Depends what you want in order to answer that question.
You can lift as high as you want with $$$
The 4.6 is your biggest problem and possible the gears.
