I'll be needing a trans rebuild or possibly upgrade to a performance E4OD trans. Anyone install a trans from Rossler, TCI, Monster, Gearstar, Bowler, etc... in their gen 1 Expedition?
I'll need something that will handle at least 400 crank horsepower as I have a 2001 Lightning supercharged crate motor in the Expedition. The stock trans has already been rebuilt twice. The current trans has 27,000 miles on it. I haven't racing it at all and haven't towed much since the last rebuild.
Here's picture of my current situation. Bigger metal pieces are probably parts of a bearing. Also, lots of shavings on the magnetic drain plug.
