2003 AC HEATER TEMPERATURE CLIMATE CONTROL

Hi!
Gonna replace the heater temperature climate control int he 2003 EB. The part to be replaced has the tag 3L14-18£612-AB. I have found a replacement part but the tag differ slightly... Anyone know if a 4L14_18£612-AB is ok to use? I think it only indocates the different generations, but all wthin the 2003-2006 model family... Anyone knows????

I just did this repair for manual temperature control. Temperature blend door actuator can be purchased from Autozone. Only $50. Suggest you not install used actuator. If cold/hot level control switch failed, you don't have to replace the whole control assembly. You can carefully pry open assembly and replace switch with a switch pulled from a salvage yard assembly. BE CAREFUL. Plastic tabs break easily. If you have auto climate control, my guess is you have to replace entire control assembly if that's your problem. If part function is compatible and fits and from your generatrion, I'd be surprised if its not OK. If you still need to confirm Ford part no. I suggest you visit dealer.
