The Check Electrical System alert came on and the battery light is on. I hear a new whine from the engine. The belts are good and the battery is good. the volts are steady at 14. Any idea what could be wrong?

Could possibly be the alternator. See if you can have it tested.

Took it to advanced auto they tested the alternator and sid it was bad. One belt and remanf alternator later and the eddie is running like new

Just make sure to keep that receipt. I know reman alternators can be 50-50 as far as how good they are, and how long they last.
