2003 expedition help clunk inside rack

has anyone have this issue . i have all new parts new moog ball joints inner and outer tie rod ends new moog upper control arms sway bar bushings and end links new and new timken hubs . does it need a new steering shaft. but got a cluck with little play in steering wheel when truck is off is this a common problem and how do i swap the rack if i need to.

Have the same problem. I had someone sit inside with the car off and jerk the wheel back and forth and I distinctly heard the noise coming from inside of the rack, not the shaft.

My steering was getting sticky so I sprayed the two u joints on the shaft with PB Blaster and the noise is now gone. Not sure what to make of that. I have no play in the u joints or the double cardan joint in the shaft so I don't really see how it would be making noise.
