I did nothing to my 2007 Expedition radio change out that had to do with the rear DVD player. The controls on the DVD work as designed. The only thing was no speakers are hooked to the DVd any longer. Everything is on the wireless headphones which is fine by me since my grand children are the only users

Call the guys at Crutchfields and ask for the auxiliary harness that connects to the small harness there at the back of the radio head unit. You should've seen a plug back there that is still not connected to anything. It's smaller than the main plug going into the head unit. That is the harness from the rear DVD unit. They are familiar with the setup and know what harness to send you. https://www.crutchfield.com/m_750/Car-Stereo-Installation-Parts.html
It will restore power and sound for the rear DVD unit. You still will not have the rear controls for the stereo, there at the back of the center console but nobody should be using those anyway.
