2004 5.4 - A/C question

I own a 2004 5.4 EB.

When I use A/C there is a steady "slushing" sound coming from the rear (backseat-area). Only present when using A/C.

I also feel that there is perhaps little effect in A/C.

Anyone experienced something similar before? Maybe just top up R134?

Does the A/C blow cold air from the front vents or no cold air at all? Unfortutnely, if you've never replaced the A/C compressor on this it may be time. I have an 03 and have replaced mine twice, once because it was leaking and once because it got water inside it and rusted out.

I need to replace the A/C compressor on my 04 Expedition 5.4L. I've searched for "how-to" posts/videos but I only came across older models. Can someone provide instructions on how to replace it please?

I have seen one where slightly low r134 did cause a noise like you described and yes it was still blowing cold.
