I am hearing this clunk noise on my 04' 5.4L 4x4 EB when I go in reverse.. it doesnt do it when it goes into reverse its after its already in reverse and i back up a couple feet then it just goes.. clunk ...i can barely feel it, its more of a sound.

Any ideas? Universal Joint?

Thanks!

U-joints are a good start. Not sure what the rear suspension is like in the '04s but we had a similar problem in our '89 K1500 and it had bad shocks as well as bad u-joints so it would clunk going into gear.

I also had this issue on my 89 Bronco and it turned out to be the rear diff. Hopefully thats no the case here.
