Hi I have a 2004 Ford Expedition EB edition, it recently started dying while driving. I have to pull over turn it off and turn it on, and it starts up no problem. I have noticed the ABS light flashes also low oil pressure or level (cant remember) flashes on the little screen, and when this happens theres a beep and the ABS light does not stay on just a quick flash. Also my wife has mentioned when it has happened to her it kicks or lunges forward (i have not felt that). It seems its happening more often now, today my wife said it seemed to be every time she hit a small bump (again not when i drove it.) Please help! Oh also it only has 72,000 miles.
*update* so about 15 mins ago I checked the emergency cut off switch and took it for a drive and I finally experienced it. In the message center "check charging station" came up first followed by "check fuel cap" and "low oil level" when it fully dies the check engine light is on with the battery light and abs. Please any input would be nice.

I am having the same issue. I read it might be the fuel pump drive module. I have not checked mine yet. Let me know please if you find something out

It is a 2004, 5.4L 3 valve

I have changed fuel filter and pump, but still dies, occasionally

Is the truck a 2V or 3V?

Is your engine the 2V 5.4 or the 3V 5.4? I know some late 2004's had the 3V 5.4 installed. If you have the 3V there was a problem with the throttle body's electronics as it's throttle by wire. Do you have black valve covers?
