Hi everyone,
I have a 2004 Expedition. I need to change my fuel pump driver module. I saw some videos and read forums but, apparently all the videos and pics do no match my expedition. Lol Especially when I am under the truck with my phone going step by step but not seeing the driver. I was hoping to find it somewhat near (location area) of the others but no such luck.

I have my spare tire down and out, took the panel thats behind the tire...there is some kind of panel box but not sure if I should unscrew. I already have the part, I just need to locate it.

I do have to say all the other videos and forums is great with other things I had fix, any help and tips would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Fuel Pump Driver Module was introduced with the "phase 2" of the second gens, i.e. '05 and '06. The '03 and '04 had a more similar setup as the 1st gen if I'm not mistaken, with that relay in the fuse box that likes to fail.

I'm not familiar with what setup the 04s have but if you have the FPDM it would be on the inside rear drivers side frame rail. You shouldn't miss it especially if you have one in hand. I changed mine without jacking up the truck or removing the spare tire so I suspect Skauber is prob correct.

Skauber You are correct
I have posted this many times on the forum The FPDM is ONLY on the 05 and 06 models in the 2nd gen expeditions

That's correct, 2005-6 3valve models. When I did mine, the replacement
Dorman unit was modified, having rubber isolators keeping it away from frame
when mounted to avoid the electrolysis that rots the casing and exposes
the circuit board. I further modied it by coating the case with multiple layers of bedlining and cutting an inner black plastic fender panel and pop riveting it to
the vertical bracket that holds the module. This insures that the rear tire will not
get road splash on the unit. This was a bad setup for these trucks from the
get go, especially if you live in the cold, wet climates of the northeast. The module
redo, done this way, will eliminate any future problems.
