I have an warning light for the TPMS even though the tires are properly inflated. It goes out after driving all day, but comes back on. I would not mind snipping a wire if someone can tell me where? It was an option in 2004, so it was either firmware enabled or a module somewhere. Anyone with carnal knowledge?

Its probably a bad valve stem in one of the tires. My old man's truck does the same thing, but I do not know how to deactivate it. Maybe check your manual and look for the fuse that controls it. More than likely it is linked with something else, but in the off chance it is not, just remove the fuse.

I agree...bad sensor in one of your tires...I wouldn't disable or snip wires to cut it off...its very useful...the only prob is it doesn't tell you what tire when its not easily sited by the naked eye...I love it and put them in my 24'z and now 26'z...same ones from factory tires with no probs

Got new sneakers put on today. It was too much variance between the tires, not a low tire. How long do the batteries last in these?

The batteries in the TPMS sensors mounted in the rims. I must have newer ones, the car was built in OCT 03.

Yeah, there are batteries. They are not serviceable, and are part of the TPMS sensor. You don't get something ( a useable rf signal w/ data stream) for nothing.

At one time I was getting that annoying warning... For some oddball reason, not sure why, but I shot some WD40 into the stem after deflating the tires, and since then, no more warnings.. :) Do at your own risk :)
