I have a 2005 Expedition Eddie Bauer. I was driving down the road going about 50 mph when I received a check engine throttle message. The engine stopped and so did the power steering and brakes. I had to get over two lanes of the highway and barely avoided an accident.

I took it to a local Ford Dealer and was told that the Throttle Body needed to be replaced. They replaced at a cost of nearly $700. I started researching this issue on the internet and have found hundreds of similar complaints. I've contacted the NHTSA as well as Ford and there is no recall at this time.

This could be a potentially deadly error on Ford's part. I'm starting a class action lawsuit and I am looking for other owners that have had the same issue. You can contact me at [email protected]. I am also starting a website to help other owners get more information about this issue. The site is www.FordExpeditionRecall.com. Please feel free to contact me if you want more information on this problem or have any questions. Thanks Jason Schmidt

We have gathered many owners of 2004 to 2007 Ford/Lincoln vehicles with a 5.4 V8 engine. We have filed a class action suit agaisnt Ford for the issuesw we have had with the Throttle body. This is a potentially deadly issue that Ford must be accountable for. If you would like to join us, please email me at [email protected] for more information. Thanks Jason
